Valeria Bruni Tedeschi

Les Estivants

Valeria Bruni Tedeschi shares a beautiful film moment with  her film LES ESTIVANTS  released since January 30th. This  behind closed doors is  set in a discreet and bourgeois villa, nestled in a pine forest of the French Riviera featuring Anna, both fragile and funny, who came to finish the writing of her scenario evoking her missing brother. The character, rather autobiographical, evolves in the middle of a whirlwind of actors of all ages where one discovers her aunt, her mother and her daughter popping straight out  from the  the director’s family circle. Valeria Bruni Tedeschi highlights with talent the anguish of time passing and on the  break-up  that she is experiencing  at a distance with Luca. A scene from the film will remain cult with Riccardo Scarmarcio (Luca) in the art of leaving a woman in love on a public bench pointing at a poster advertising her substitute! The film develops juxtaposed solitudes that collide, make us laugh and reflect on both human relationships, regrets, the loss of a loved one and the desire, very legitimate, to love and be loved. The confusion of Anna is all the stronger as it evolves in a summer setting, under a radiant sun
